Addyson turns 1

Our little baby is now 1. It seems like time has gone by so fast. We had a party for her today with all of the family. She got all dresed up in her "Party Dress" and looked absolutely adorable. She got lots of presents, most of which she wanted nothing to do with because they were clothes.



We made a special cake just for Addy so that she could make a big mess and eat the whole thing herself. Well, she obviously is more like her dad than we thought because you can see by the pics that she was really clean considering that there was a whole cake sitting right in front of her. We all enjoyed the day and Can't wait to do it again in December for McKenzie's birthday!!

Our first camping trip

Ok, so those of you who know me well know that I am a little prissy. Well I decided to try not to be too high maintenance and go camping. We bought a trailer a couple of weeks ago and wanted to take it out at least once before it got too cold. We had so much fun. Sitting by the campfire roasting marshmallows and hot dogs, watching the kids play in the trees and get really dirty, I enjoyed all of it.
It would get a little too cold for the baby once the sun started to go down so I would have to take her in and put her to bed, but all in all it was a fabulous time.


We are definitely going to go a bunch next summer. I think the kids liked not having to get up and get cleaned up every day. They loved to be filthy dirty. They found some sticks and decided to try to sharpen them like knives. It became quite the task. I think they worked on it more that half of the time. They also found a pine tree that was hollow in the middle and made a hut out of it. It was fun being in the middle of nowhere not having to worry about the phone ringing or the kids trying to watch TV or play video games. I'm a changed woman. I can now say that I like to camp!!
