Zoo Trip

We had so much fun going to the zoo. I took my 3 kids and my friend Shannon came with her little girl Grace. The kids loved the animals. We took a ride on the carousel and on the train. You would never know it but Addy and Grace are the same age so hopefully they will become good friends. I let McKenzie be in charge of the camera most of the time so we got a lot of crazy pics of the animals but the kids love to go back and look at them.

We got some cute pics of the 4 kids together. They have a huge elephant statue and it makes all sorts of weird noises at you. It makes a sneezing sound and then water shoots out of the end of its trunk. Shannon got sprayed while she was trying to take pics of the kids on the end it. I think the zoo trip will have to be a yearly thing for all of us. They never get tired of seeing the animals.

Life Update

Yeah! School has finally started. Mckenzie started on the 18th and she really loves her teacher, or so she says anyway. She is in the 4th grade this year. I can't beleive it. I feel so old. Payton will be going to his first day of kindergarten tomorrow. I am going to take him to class and I hope that I don't cry. I'm sure he will probably not even care. He is so independent. This will leave me home for at least half of the day with just Addy. I will have so much time on my hands I don't even know what I will do with all of it. Although, I'm sure I will be able to find something.

We are almost done with the basement. It seems like it has taken no time at all to finish it. I can't wait to have it all done so that I can move the kids into their new rooms. I can't say that I am excited to have double the house to clean now but I guess that's what happens. At least I've got a couple of kids that can help with that part.

As for Donny and I, we are doing great. He stays pretty busy with work. He will be back to playing softball again for the fall league. He loves to play and I think it is a great stress relief for him. I stil have my BUNCO and scrapbooking once a month and I don't think I will ever give those up. I think that is about it for us right now so I'll update again when we get some more interesing stuff to write about.

Jordin Sparks Concert

We got tickets to the Jordin Sparks concert from my brother and the girls went out for the night. We had so much fun. McKenzie sat on the front row right in front of the microphone and took a ton of pictures. She even got to touch Jordin's hand and was elated! The dinner we had before the concert was way good and we got to have our picture taken with her. This is definitely a night the girls will remember forever!

Kids busy lives

We have been keeping busy this summer with swimming and playing all sorts of fun stuff. Mckenzie likes to do the rodeo thing with her dad and she it getting quite good at it. She does barrel racing and the poles. She received her first winning check the night that I took these pics. Payton played on a tee-ball team and he had lots of fun. He got a medal at the end of the season and needed to show it off. As for our little one, Addyson, she is just happy to be here.
